Examec delivers rocket sections to Swedish Space Corporation

Swedish Space Corporation (SSC) is making significant progress in its efforts to develop Sweden’s capacity for satellite launches – and Examec is playing an important role in this work. SSC has selected Examec as a supplier of advanced components for rocket bodies that will be used in future launches from the Esrange space center in Kiruna.

Esrange is currently Sweden’s only space base and conducts launches of sounding rockets and research balloons. Preparations are now underway to also enable satellite launches, something considered a crucial step in strengthening Sweden’s independence in space technology. In an interview with Dagens Industri, Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson emphasized the importance of this: “Sweden must continue to be a leading country in space technology.”

SSC is currently collaborating with both European and American partners and sees a growing demand for launch services. By contributing high-precision machined components to the rocket structure, Examec is helping to make this development possible – while also putting Swedish manufacturing on the map in the space sector.
